Kalipur Beach, located about 18 km from Diglipur (around a 30-minute drive), is fondly known as the Sunrise Beach of Diglipur. It is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Andaman Islands, especially famous as a nesting ground for sea turtles—a rare feature found only in a few places worldwide.

This serene beach hosts four endangered turtle species: Olive Ridley, Green Sea Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle, and Leatherback Turtle. To protect these gentle creatures, the government has set up a turtle hatchery at the site. If you’re lucky, you might witness the magical moments of turtles laying eggs late at night or baby turtles making their way to the sea early in the morning.
